Spanish fta

Hello all. I'm new in the fta field. I'm interested in spanish programming. I have a 12
foot motorized dish ( no lnb) already mounted on the pole. And a c-band analog receiver. I live in madison n.c. Is it possile to get Sat.Mex5,Solidaridad 2 and maybe
HispaSat? And if, so do I need individual lnbs for each satellite? Do I need c or ku band lnbs? What receiver is recommended and does it have to be slaved to my analog receiver? Any good advise is greatly appreciated.

You will need a new digital satellite receiver, have a look at the review area. I like and use the Fortec Classic NA. It can be easily slaved to your analog receiver and if possible use the analog receiver to move the dish (if it has a motor)

Let us know your zip code or latitude and longitude and we can give you all the angles to the satellites from your area.

Should be good for Satmex 5 if you are in the USA or further south.......

For Solidaridad 2 you would have to be MUCH further south and is a C-band only satellite.

As for LNB's I would have a look at Skyvision where they have a Combined Dual C-band and Ku-band Feedhorn and many more applicable products!

There is also Azteca 7 & 13 on Telstar 6 and a few Univision & Telefutura stationms on G10 (both on KU band side)

Also there is a LOT of Spanish programming on Hispasat 1C & 1D at 30 degrees west KU band

and since you have C-Band, you can get a lot more than the KU banders can get

With a big dish you will get more Spanish channels than you can imagine, I recommend getting a 4dtv along with a free to air unit, there are many Spanish channels in DCII (4dtv) and DVB (free to air), I get tons of great programming, you may want to grab a wideband feed along with a pair of Norsat lnb's, the wideband feed will be able to pick up channels on circular C-band like NSS-806 along with the linear c/ku stuff on other satellites.

Most of the Spanish programming is on C-band, though if your dish is in good shape, and has tight mesh adding Ku-band to the system is a great investment.
