Apparently this isn't the 1st time they have been caught cheating.

Now I understand why all of the coaches make such a big deal of covering their mouths when calling in plays.

I wonder if the Pats have a scanner to listen in to the coach/QB communications?

Truth be told....the fact that they do this does not bother me...because I would not be surprised if ALL teams did this. What REALLY pist me off was the fact that the commissioner SENT A LETTER TO ALL TEAMS NOT to do this...and they BLATANTLY did it ANYWAY!! And the OTHER thing that pisses me off is that they are so much better than everyone else...and they have to do this??

Again, it proves how much of a ***hole Belichick really is.

It's gamesmanship, not cheating. If you ever played high school football you would know that every team does it. If the Pats "stole" their signals all the Jets needed to do was change the wristband on QB and defensive captain.

I coach Rec football and I yell out to my players who is getting the ball. It's so easy to tell with their body language. Even going to college games I can pick who will get the ball on about 60% of the plays. Thats not signal stealing but I think that it is all part of the game.

next thing you know the Defense is going to have to shut their eyes so they don't see the offenses formation and all Quarterbacks will have to wear shields so the backs cant see wear they are throwing

Next thing we know they will ban supposed "performance enhancing" substances and seek to suspend and/or expel people suspected of using them without hard proof. OMG! If its a rule, abide by it! We can excuse it by "thinking" we know every other team does it; just don't do it.

Its cheating. Not gamesmanship. If the rules state that having a camera taping hand signals is against the rules its against the rules. There is no doubt in my mind that "everybody" does it, but it is still CHEATING.

Mind you I am in the minority. Especially up here in Pats land. 95% of the callers say whats the big deal?

To me its no better than the Bonds apologists. It is what it is. If it wasnt cheating then this wouldnt be an issue.

Having the players on the field read the signals is one (good) thing. Having the coaching staff tape the signals is another (bad) thing.

I'm a NY Giants fan, NOT a Jets fan at all. But the Pats WERE caught with their hands in the cookie jar, and I think they should forfeit the game to the Jets. This is major league cheating in my book.

Again...the fact of trying to steal signs is not a big deal because EVERYONE tries to steal them. But the fact that it was reported that ALL COACHES recieved some kind of notification that basically demanded not to do this...and then doing it ANYWAY is ballsy as hell and disrespectful as hell too. And again,
as good as the team looks...do they REALLY need to do this?
