Sorry Boys, the next Stanly Cup Champs will be the Blackhawks

Lets review here: Steal Hossa away from Detoit, grab Kopecky from the Wings, move from bottom feeder to quasi-contender for the Stanly Cup(sic), what's next?

Fire the GM that made it all possible! Stan Bowman was promoted to GM yesterday. Got to keep Scotty happy, I guess.

Just remember Scotty was sucessful as a coach and stunk as a GM. Thanks to Scotty whom Broke up the French Connection, Fired Roger Neilson, Jim Schonfield and many others. Oh ya....and won absolutely ZERO Cups in Buffalo or St Louis. Both places he had his hands involved in Managment.

Don't Worry Hawk Fans, by December he will have Toews and Kane teamed together on the Blue Line while Soupy Campbell is playing center on the powerplay. But that won't matter anyways, because next summer when they are restricted free agents and Chicago has no room under the cap to sign them...Kane can come home to Buffalo.

Perhaps this is so Scotty will come out of retirement and take over the Blackhawks for his son.

The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to terms with winger Kris Versteeg on a US$9.2-million, three-year deal, the club announced Wednesday.
The 23-year-old had an impressive rookie campaign, leading all first-year pros with 31 assists while ranking second with 53 points. He was fourth among rookies with 22 goals earning him a nomination for the Calder Trophy as the league's top first-year player.
He'll earn $3.08 million per season, a substantial raise from the $490,000 he made last season.
"Kris' tremendous rookie season was a big reason the team was able to go as far as it did," Blackhawks general manager Dale Tallon said in a statement. "He is part of a core of young players that is going to make this franchise successful for a long time."
Versteeg, who was named to the NHL's All-Rookie Team, finished third in the league with seven short-handed points, which included four short-handed markers, tying a franchise record by a rookie.
He also recorded the first-ever goal at Wrigley Field when he scored 3:24 into the Winter Classic 2009 on Jan. 1 against Detroit, finishing the game with two points.
good luck with that
