Well I wanted to get the Coolsat 8000 but I think with the prices that are falling with the Plasmas that it would be a waste for me since I am getting rid of my HD rear projection hd thats 5 yaers old.Untill the summer time.
Now I am seeing that the SONICVIEW SV8000 at $499 and feel thats a very good price.
But will wait till I get my newest Plasma with in the next few months..I am sure many are going to upgrade in the next year.....JT

Hello

Just add 4:2:2 and I'm buying it. It supports diseqc 1.1 which is great.

Read that the coolsat 8100 is coming out in the near future, maybe that's why the price reduction on the 8000...also check out the new fortec passion (sat HD only, no OTA HD) that will be coming out (with 4:2:2).

Mine too, as soon as a review and price are announced. Oh, and when they are going to be for sale too !!
Oh, and since this thread was originally about the Sonicview 8000HD and not the Fortec Passion, it might be interesting to note that there is no mention in the Sonicview's specs that is has blindscan..........a must-have!!

Yea but its nice to see that HD DVBs are coming out more offen now...
Instead of just having one receiver on the market like it used to beeeeeee.
