Cute, very cute. Vivaldi wrote the piece but never recorded it. That hadn't been invented yet in the 18th century. However you might have said countless orchestras and it would fly..... :)
Not according to Yaz. I didn't think recordings were a requirement for songs on this thread. I thought it was performances. What rule was broken here? If none - please start back at my post. If you need proof of him performing the piece - no one can provide that, but read on:

"Many of Vivaldi's concerti were indeed exercises which he would play with his many talented pupils."

"Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, nicknamed il Prete Rosso ("The Red Priest"), was a Venetian priest and Baroque music composer, as well as a famous virtuoso violinist" - Antonio Vivaldi (Composer) - Short Biography

This is not a song -

The Four Seasons (Italian: Le quattro stagioni) is a set of four violin concertos by Antonio Vivaldi.

Why can't you just play by the rules??

I'm not going for it, Yaz is correct, Four Seasons is NOT a song but a classical movement that contains 4 concerti. I actually own 2 versions of this masterpiece on CD. I will back up on the recorded idea but not on the song piece. The game goes on just as it is....

Hey, I'm with Bobby on this. I did not validate that Vivaldi performed these concertos, only that, while he wrote them, they are not "a song". The Four Seasons are generally performed by a string quartet, chamber group, or orchestra. So while it is possible that Vivaldi may have performed these as part of such, it is an unknown.
And, The Song Remains The Same, The Four Seasons is still not "a song".
