OK guys need some help here. Finally started playing with the 7150 (rebadged DSR-4800) and ran into a couple issues. Hooked up a couple audio cables (with wires stripped) to the terminal strips on it. Unit is slaved to the Geosat which right now was on 87W C-Band.

Tuned in a "feed" that is DCII and the audio came through just fine. Tried Nasa and the audio worked too. The issue I have been running into is some of the feeds the audio works and some dont. Here are the examples I tried tonight

-DCII feed....worked
-NASA....worked
-MeTV....nope
-ThisTV....symbol rate too low (the 7150 only goes down to 3250 s/r)
-The mux with @Sports and the 2 spanish channels..nope
-The audio only mux with "Focus on the Family"...yep. Lots of audio on there

So then I tried 99W
-Nets...worked
-KCWY NBC..worked
-MyTV...nope
-World Harvest..nope
-GDMX feeds...nope <-----these I really want to work
-The Spanish channels (Univision, WAPA)...nope

Then I tried 125W and all the SD feeds on there worked fine (12180, 12162, 12169, 12175)

Most when I hit the audio button show info but a couple its blank. I waited a couple minutes for the channel to finish downloading the VCT to see if that was it and it wasn't

So what am I doing wrong?
Also there are 2 mic cable audio outputs...I have a couple 3 pin mic to RCA cables and those dont work at all....something in the settings?
Also I have to slave mine. If I hook it directly it wont work at all. I assume these cant work with a LNBF and needs the 3 wire polarity changing LNB instead?

Otherwise it seems to be working pretty good.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. My Digitrans DTE 7150 has the same audio problems as yours. It seems that all Dolby-AC3 audio works fine, but only some of the Musicam audio works. On the GDMX feeds, audio is shown as Musicam, but it keeps blinking on and off and there is no audio. I just thought that it was a bug in my Digitrans.

I just started working with my 4810 some.
Found an couple of manuals in pdf if that helps you some.
Familiarized myself with some of the functions but so far still have a solid BER meter with no signal bars at all. I'm hoping the lithium battery isn't low.:(

The GDMX feeds work fine on mine using the audio pin outs. Not sure about the DVB stuff because I just use mine mostly for DCII and 4-2-2 signals that my 9200 and 8000 cannot get.

Yeah once in a while it will have like a pop sound on those. Its just weird that other MPEG audio works fine

It will work with an lnbf. There are high (H) and low (V) settings for the lnb.
oh ok. Guess I'll have to try some of the settings

I have those manuals saved from before. Also had some notes from other folks on the settings

audio pin? As in the 3 pin mic plugs on the side or the terminal strip outputs? I'd like to use mine just for 4:2:2 and the DCII stuff

yeah I've got mine hooked up that way too. Do the 3 pin mic outputs even work? I couldnt get them to work

well I tried the 3 pin outputs and all they did was put out a "fuzzy noise" sound

well I tried again and as photoman said if I press the audio button on the GDMX feeds the info blinks on and off. On the plus side I figured out how to get it to work on a LNBF
LNB high for H, LNB low for V

So I hooked up the other one I have and programmed in the NBC feed (3776 H 3256)...yellow lock but on the display it says "WAIT SAM/CAM" and I cant change the stream. Its stuck on 00002...need 00001 for the NBC

Anybody got any clues on that?

wait sam/cam

Are you talking about the XLR outs? Those are AES/EBU digital outs. You can use an adapter cable (aes to rca) and connect to the coax spdif in on a receiver/amp. AES may overload on some consumer receivers/amps as AES is 'pro' and is hotter than spdif (consumer). The punch block is for analog out.

push RF In twice. Change the mode to DC2I or DC2Q. It might be a split signal (guessing).

(edit) I might be way off. I've never seen "WAIT SAM/CAM"

Push "Prog" 'till you get to "VCT:00000:0000 MPG:0002" on the display, turn the knob until the cursor is under the right "2" on "MPG" Then push in the knob to change virtual channels.

I did that....right now it shows
VCT:00000:0000 MPG:0002
WAIT SAM/CAM

If I move the cursor to the far right it wont change the last digit...I need it to be MPG:0001

but since I dont have a audio receiver at all (and I sold my cyberhome adapter) those outputs are moot then. I just wondered what they were for :)
