I did that....right now it shows
VCT:00000:0000 MPG:0002
WAIT SAM/CAM

If I move the cursor to the far right it wont change the last digit...I need it to be MPG:0001

It should change if you push the knob then turn while the red edit light is on above the knob.

well I just tried monkeying with some settings and now it shows this

VCT:00000:0000 MPG:0001
WAIT SAM/CAM

so it should be right but it wont load the channel.

yellow bar for signal 3/4 of the way up

it didnt. I had to change it to DCII VCT table then back to DVB to get it to change to MPEG 0001

The other unit works great now except for the audio issue on some channels. This is the 2nd one I have that I am getting the Wait SAM/CAM thing

Also make sure its in DVB MPEG mode.

I don't want to tell you there's a problem with it, because when I don't use mine for a period of time it takes me half an hour to figure the darn thing out again! We're overlooking something, but I'm not sure what.

Mine flashes WAIT SAM/CAM for less than a second each time I switch channels in a mux. But I don't recall it ever getting stuck on WAIT SAM/CAM.

yeah this one says that when you fire it up. I know the "good" unit flashes it while I scroll through the channels but the other one is "stuck" on that.

CAM is "conditional access module" ...might be searching for a UID that may no longer be there. (I don't know if these have batteries like the GI/Moto DSR series)

huh...never thought of that. I know the person I bought them from said they were pulled from a working environment at the same time. Maybe one is just dead and can be used for parts?

Anybody know if there is a way to do a master reset on them?

had a "D'OH" moment today. Was working with it and wasnt getting any audio on any channels. So hooked back up to the PBS and still no audio. Was like what the heck

Looked on the back and the audio cables I had stripped the wiring to fit into the terminal strip. Well the cable twisted and the wires touched....therefore no audio. Whoops ;)

So I hooked up the other one I have and programmed in the NBC feed (3776 H 3256)...yellow lock but on the display it says "WAIT SAM/CAM" and I cant change the stream. Its stuck on 00002...need 00001 for the NBC

Anybody got any clues on that?

wait sam/cam

This is what happens for me when I try tuning a mux with no PMT (CW's @91W)
The status alternates between "WAIT SAM/CAM" and "WAIT TUNER LOCK"
Still strange that it only happens with one of them on the NBC mux (assuming the mux has a PMT).
Does the GI-ACE in the "Config" menu match the sticker on the unit that is misbehaving?(You prolly already checked and it shouldnt matter anyway for DVB...but for sheets and giggles its worth a check)
As for your audio issues...according to the manual if SAP is being carried you can go to the "Audio" menu and switch to 3/4, just make sure you use the 3/4 outputs on the terminal strip.

It was also mentioned about the battery in these units. You better believe it, they are there underneath the hood of the GI-ACE module.
