Software at 2.44/Super-DMA OTA?

Hey my unit upgraded itself to 2.44 (I just got installed 2 days ago), people keep talking about software 7.xx. How do you upgrade to that? Or do I have a newer unit that runs different software. And what is everyone talking about Super_DMA OTA, on the front page of the voom forum.

You may be able to tune more channels now if you indeed have Super DMA. 2.44 would be newer than new (2.34)

I'm just asking is 2.44 the most current?

If not how do u force upgrade? I'm in the Monterey, CA market.

2.44 is the same as Nep. 7.34 (Press HELP INFO and you will see that you have Nep. 734)
And yes, this is the latest released version.

Well... I just checked my 2nd STB and &>33Nep but 2.40 under installer menu...

That's right.

2.40 is Nep. 7.33
2.44 is Nep. 7.34

Both versions are compatible with Super-DMA mapping.
