june or july was the previous estimate. We've since blown right past that.Doesn't DISH have just 10 more days until Fall is officially here to get the OTA adapter out when they said it would be out (summer)?
I am guessing by now someone out there is testing that USB OTA add on that we saw a photo of a few months ago, BUT cant tell us due to a NDA or black out press agreement.
The only thing I can say is...
And remember, Dish could just drop any plans for the OTA tuner and there's absolutely no recourse.Estimates are just that. There was never an ironclad guarantee.

I would be very pissed if that were the case! Doubt that they'll be dropping it also a Dish employee (Vivek) has confirmed that manual timers will be added.

Sure would be cool if you could buy TWO OTA tuners to a Hopper, then I could record a lot of stuff. Hope the price is OK and that they are high quality tuners not some el cheapo USB tuner.
What can I say, I watch a lot of locals and sub channels as I get Two DMAs over the air.
It would be like having 5 tuners. Or 8 of you count Dishes accounting practice of saying you can record 6 things during prime time.

It's already been stated that the tuner is the latest and greatest, and that is why it is so big.
That was an actual production unit, not a mock up.
Some Korean guy. At least, I assume he's Korean, as his name is "Soon".To whom is it shipping?
I thought the sling extender shown at CES was a production model and was eventually approved by the FCC before Dish cancelled it.
