So who watched Breaking Bad premeire on the roku?

So, Dish has given, and given and given...and only 4 people here thus far have reported to have taken advantage of the intended purpose? Not the least bit surprising. Well, then again, maybe BB is not the "hit" AMC claims. Either way, seems to me lot's of people have received new toys that will probably never be used as Dish intended. Now, when Walking Dead comes back (which is why I asked for it) things might change...but I doubt it.

I would think part of the problem was the fact that it was well known that AMC was offering the premier of BB for free on the internet. I watched the free version on my iPad, but I will be using the Roku from now on. Why should I pay even $1.99 when it was offered for free this one time.
(Plus my Roku wasn't set up yet do to one certain reason that I don't want to go into again.)

Let's see how it goes next week when you'll have to stream BB to see it.

I agree, the online streaming played a factor. In addition, the show can now be watched anytime so there is no rush. Also, netflix now has the first 4 seasons so you can catch up before spending the dough for one episode. Overall I think people will use it to watch the amc programs eventually, but with so much it can do it's easy to get distracted. :-)

Yeah. Lets see how much we can squeeze out of Dish. That wil work. NOT!!
While I did get a one time $30 credit, I didn't get a Roku player because I already have one, plus two other streaming devices. I watched the free stream that AMC offered and I'll be purchasing the following episodes when they're available. So, no I don't feel bad about it. And I wouldn't feel bad about it even if I received a free Roku plus the $10/12 deal. I'll be spending that money I didn't spend with Dish with Amazon, soon enough. I'm sure plenty of others did the same thing I did. To be honest, it still doesn't make sense to encourage your customers to use another service, but we've already gone through that.
