So all you fan boys think its OK to drag out the process, and avoid the fact that I'm trying to deactivate service as well as get a final balance to end my service?
And charge me $15 to return equipment thats not mine anyway?
OK so they jerked me around for a week, so thats another 7 days of service I'm getting charged that I shouldn't be because of these Charlie Ergen BS games.
Not everyone can sit on the phone every night of the week to be put on HOLD for 20 + minutes just to deactivate Dish Network accounts.
So lets hear a legit excuse for this reasoning.
I've read several pages of comments and I still have to agree with you. If I call a company to terminate service then I expect to get the same service as If I was calling to start service. A CSR that knows what they are doing. Of course they usually are required to read from a script, I will often ask them to stop and just get right down to business, but I do understand that they still may have to read the script. To be put on hold for 20 minutes, under any circumstances, is ridiculous. To not be able to get an answer to your question, on the spot, is even more ridiculous. I have to agree with you on the fees, but Dish is still the best deal for my needs in my area.
On a side note I bet it costs more than $15.00 to send a receiver, especially a DVR, back to Dish, maybe you can get away with packing several receivers in one box and using one return sticker. Of course I would certainly take some pictures of my packing and make sure to get a receipt from UPS when I dropped off the box!
Good Luck
