I've been a DTV customer since 2000 and this is the first time I've had to clear snow off my dish to restore channels. I was paranoid about snow issues before getting the dish and after reading posts and insisted that my dish be installed on a pole in the yard so that I could clean the snow off of it. Because of trees, it took two attempts at installation before I got DTV. Then for the next 8 years, I never had a problem in the New England winters, until today. A light brushing of the snow on the dish and reception was restored, just as the Celtics were winning their 18th consecutive game. Missing TV for the first time since 2000, it now seems worth the hassle.
