Even those who didn't watch television couldn't escape their influence on youth culture, vocabulary and joke-telling. The Smurfs took America by storm in the 1980s with a cartoon series that won Emmys along with fans, as little blue imps laughed and played in their idyllic mushroom village, always a wee step ahead of the villainous Gargamel.>>

I cant wait to introduce my little girl to the smurfs, I was 10 when they came out here in the states and watched them and I also had a coleco vision console with the game and played the heck out of it.

Smurfs are vaguely tied to white power.

All blue homogeneous society, no other colors. All wore white hoods, except for Papa Smurf. Just like the KKK, where all wear white hoods except for the Grand Dragon and other leaders. Their society is socialist, just like the Nazis. That is why everything went to chaos when Gargamel gave one of the Smurfs a coin in hopes of making Smurfs greedy. Gargamel has a Jewish name and even has the appearance of a "sinister Jew" as a racist person would portray them, right down to the over-sized hook nose. The cat, Azrael, has the same name as the muslim word for "Angel Of Death". Azrael is also pretty close to Israel, the Jewish homeland reviled by anti-Semites. Smurfette was a long blonde Smurf beauty, iconic of the Aryan ideal female.
