They have been broadcasting CI on that channel for days now. Pretty much ever since they removed Smithsonian channel.

Looking at the guide it they are listing the programs, and the info button describes it correctly with no reference to CI

True, but if you tune to the channel it shows a slate saying that CI has moved to channel 387.

Well, Dish and Showtime, who own a good chunk of Smithonian, did come to a new agreement.

But we have seen guide data turn up before, and nothing happened.

This happened a lot when a local station had a dispute with dish and forced dish to remove the station. It is just a glitch in their system. My guess is you'll hear about Smithsonian's return on Sat Guys before you actually see it return to the line-up. And no, I have no information on the return.

Chances are it is coming back. The question is when.

The guide data has been showing up at times for over the past few weeks.

But with that said today is Wednesday which is normally a uplink day, so who knows we might see something today. Anything is possible from Dish Network.

Unbe*******lievable. Is it that they are complete morons, or do they just think all of their customers are?

No one has EVER had ANY DVR timers for C&I on that channel number. It's never had any guide data. And C&I was ALWAYS on 387.

I'm really getting to the point where I just don't want to do business with them simply because they are idiots. They are still cheaper than DirecTV, they still have better HD choices, better equipment...but I don't know if I want to keep giving money to dopes. OR, if this kind of thing is part of some plan to confuse people on purpose to keep them from figuring out they are getting screwed, that's just completely evil.
