For some reason, the pages take a long time to completely load. They load almost completely and then it takes another 20 or so seconds to finish. Anyone else have this problem?

Never that slow either but when there are loading delays, I have noticed it was the ads or the ad server that looked like they were hanging up.

I get slow page loads too. Much slower than other sites. When I scroll to the very upper right of the page, it says PDA mode. Is that the problem? How do I change that?

It seems to be fixed now. The pages load almost immediately. Did anyone fix something?

Nope nothing. Its always been fast from here and on the other 3 ISP's I use. Normally when I see reports like these it is usually an issue between your ISP and the route on the way to our server.

I have actually been very happy with our speed as of late.

So have I. The pages seem to load completely, but the status bar shows that they aren't. Like I said, it seems to be okay now. Thanks Scott.

When I first joined this site the pages loaded very fast, in my case it wasnt until the site was redone that it started to load slowly very very slowly, I found that there is only two ways to make it load fast, either log in (and it will load somewhat faster) or set your browser security setting to HIGH and it will load almost immediatly (observations were made using Internet Explorer 6 and a Dial Up connection).

Now they are back to loading slowly again. :(

Try doing going to a DOS prompt and typing in the following

tracert www.satelliteguys.us

All times you see there should be less then 200MS if its higher then that then thats where the problem is.

We are moving to a new ISP which has much better peering then our current ISP which should help with these kind of issues. :)

I just did a check from my PC here are work to the server and had great speeds and also did a check from the server to my PC and also very good. So your issue sounds like a backbone issue between your ISP and getting to our server.

Actually, it's stil slow. It takes about 20-30 seconds for each page to load fully.

This is what my trace looks like.

Some of the numbers are a little higher than on the first one.

Man thats a lot of HOPS

What is normal? Not that I am normal in any way, shape, or form! After all, I drive Studebakers! :D

Not sure what a norm would be; I was 11, with one being my home network gateway and a double HOP on LIQUIDWEB at the end; what is that. Thats a lot of HOPS too IMHO

Your looks like 4 HOPS just to get outside of COX cable; 1 in CT and 3 in RI.

Then 10 inside the AT&T network? Via MA, NY, PA and MI? Wow, what a journey if I read that right.

AND YES, pages are intermittently hosing up for about 15 - 25 seconds today. My connections to every other site are lightning fast.

I have the same symptoms, slow page downloads and the status bar doesn't show a finished donwloaded page for at least 30 seconds if not longer. I am using a Mac running OS 10.4.6 if that means anything.
