Slow Horses - Apple TV

Is Ted Lasso something that would be enjoyed by someone who isn't interested in soccer?
Yes, it's a very good show. I put off watching because of it being soccer. Thought I'd give it a try and was glad I did. I'm already on season 3 and just started this past weekend.

Being my network shows won't start until next year I have just started to watch Slow Horses. How has that old fart survived not being killed?
Most of the network shows don't hold a candle to streaming shows.

I‘m a little surprised. Gary Oldman has said in interviews he is ready to retire. There are 8 books so far so maybe more.
For years, whenever I heard mention of Gary Oldman, I thought of his Commissioner Gordan. Now, It's Jackson Lamb!

Or Fifth Element, Dracula, Sirius Black, etc, etc.

Dude is a Chameleon.

I have not yet watched this, plan to, but the one thing I am noticing about streaming shows, is they tend to run out of energy/ideas by Season 3 more and more.

Just watched the 3rd season of the Witcher, loved the first two seasons, the first few episodes of season 3 started great, then became blah by the end.

Felt the same about The Mandalorian, 3rd season started off great, by the end just good, while all of the first two seasons were great.

We just finished “Sugar” and this is on our “Next to Watch” list.

Mrs. Foxbat and I finished watching Season 1 of “Slow Horses” and will start Season 2 after the 4th activities are over. The spy action was sufficiently “spooky” and there was some good cynical humor on Oldman’s part.

It just keeps getting better!

You were right about that! We found Seasons Two and Three “page turners” and ended up binging each entire Season Saturday and Sunday nights.

I see Season 4 is coming out in time for my birthday, and IMDB shows a fifth season after that.

Great first episode...kept you guessing. Looks like they're ramping up the action and personal vendettas...alway makes a good show great!

Mrs. Foxbat and I are watching along. It took me a second to figure out that James Callis was the new Director. A shame he gets type-cast as this sniveling bureaucrat who proves the Peter Principle.

I feel bad that I got excited it might be Alexander Siddig, but nope, not him.

He has been playing that type of Character since before Battlestar.

Still going strong. I found this over on Vulture that got surfaced on Apple News+. It’s a “Slow Horses Incompetence Index” of how these professional intelligence agents deserve their place at Slough House. Spoiler Alert - to rate their Incompetence, they obviously need to discuss the episodes.
