I have moved to an apartment, my dish is at my dad's house, so I thought I would purchase a slingbox to transport the video from my dad's house to my apartment.
I didn't record and save the segment on a Charlie Chat or Tech Forum from a few months ago with a representative from Sling Media so I'm asking my question here for those who know. I want a good understanding before I go buy the
slingbox A/V.
The receiver is a 625, I have no plans for HD capability from DISH for the next couple years or so so I don't need the slingbox PRO anytime in the near future.
Do I just need to purchase the Slingbox A/V (and will it support my 625 remotely?) I take it the Slingbox A/V that I see for sale from various retailers has the hardware to hook up at my dad's house as well as includes the player that I install on my PC. I have high speed internet at my apartment and my dad has high speed internet.
Also, about slingstream, is it something built into the firmware/player of the Slingbox A/V or is it some enhancement that you purchase separately to use with the slingbox a/v setup?
