There is still confusion among customer service agents regarding the correct way to order the adapter and qualify for the rebate. After reading this site I learned that the adapter must be ordered verbally and not online. I called a dish customer service agent and was promptly told that the sling adapter must be ordered online if I wanted to qualify for the rebate. I asked her to check if I could order from her and get the rebate. Her answer again was that to get the rebate the order must be placed online. I placed the order online, and after receiving the adapter, I called to determine why there was no link to claim the rebate. I was told that the only way to qualify for the rebate was to order online. To resolve this situation I was told that I could purchase a new adapter and I would be sent a box to return the previously received adapter. She said there was no way to go into her system to correct the problem. So here I sit with two adapters waiting on dish to send a box to return the first adapter. By the way, I have already clicked the link to get the rebate on the second adapter. Why they did not simply give me a RMA for the first adapter, since it came with a pre-paid UPS label, continues to puzzle me. She insisted that I had to wait for her box, with pre-paid lable, to arrive.
