Sleep Mode...

well i often watch movies before i go to sleep (and fall asleep during it or before it ends) and now that i have HD DVD Player, i use it watch them on.

So i have the HD-A3 and was wondering if there was a sleep mode on it. if not, will it autimatically turn off by itself, or go on standby?

HD-DVD manuals are at

click on support. The HD-A3 manual is only giving the datasheet. However, the A2 manual should be similar and shows both screensaver and auto off functions under the setup menu. I believe my A2 will do auto shutoff by default.

Re: the A2 auto shutoff - I think I can confirm that. I intentionally left it on Sat. early PM and by evening it had shut itself off. I have no idea how long it was on, tho'...
