OK
Looking at getting a Exopc their sold out right but due to have more in by end of the month. Out of these 3 which one does everyone seem to like the best?? W7 touch works fine on these devices. Also I think with W8 they will have even add more to the touch and GUI for slates as well.

Exopc

ExoPC - ExoPC Slate

Eee Slate

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Eee - ASUS Eee Slate EP121

Dell

Duo Inspirion they will have a true Slate coming out this year as well.

Inspiron

All are big, heavy, and short battery time. ( ~4 hrs ) These are more like laptops with touch screens especially the Dell. 19.5 VDC power? Not a typical USB power adapter but one more like a laptop uses. I'd say OK if looking for a laptop replacement but this is not in the league of the pads like Galaxy or ipad. So, if that's what you are looking for, I'd prefer the Dell as it has good support from personal experience.

Keep in mind that for travel, a flight plus airport wait time, the battery won't last. You'll be searching for an outlet at the airport. One thing I like about ipad is it will last all day.

Yeah Galaxy is ok and Ipad I feel the same about most of the slates out there will do everything they will. Battery life should be just as good as anything else out there but right now kind of leanig to wards the Exopc.. But again thanks for your input..

Have you ever used W7 and touch? IMO, there are two reasons that I feel it is inadequate.

1. W7 touch support is really very minimal and I've never found a W7 touch device that had good enough touch accuracy to make it enjoyable.

2. There are very few app for Windows that are really touch apps. And those apps that aren't really are more trouble to try and use with touch than it is worth.

As I posted in another thread a few weeks ago, I found the Exopc to be extremely underwhelming. What exactly is it that you want to use this type of device for, that makes it a better candidate than either an ipad, a Tab, a Xoom, or one of the other tablets out/coming out? I am curious.
