I think they were referring to the Bible's definition of "saved."
Ephesians 2:8-9
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:5
made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
Romans 10:13
for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 10:10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
That is some of the BS I was talking about. To me it's a bunch of CRAP. It take more that a bunch of quotes from a bible to make a good person. I remember a Catholic priest who quoted the bible a lot. It also turned out that he was getting in the altar boys pants. I never have trusted people that quoted the bible since then.
