I tried all afternoon to adjust this LNBF but still not gettiing it right, Analog looks great but digital has been a hassle. What should be the skew on this if I wanna put it in my 7ft prime focus

here's a pic of the dish with a ku band lnbf (which has worked great btw) but C band is stomping me

I've noticed a few LNB's that I have are 90 degrees off

my Geostapro duals, the old BSC421 are off by 90 degrees...this one might be too

so 0 skew for me is at 9:00 or 3:00 (if like a clock)

below pic is set to 0 skew for my true south (well 91W...my TS is 93W but there is no C-Band there)

Thanks Ice, hopefully someone with this model can chime in.

btw it's been quite the ordeal since this BUD is very close to the edge of the roof so I can only make modifications by completely moving the dish to the center, and lowering the elevation to about 125W, making it very difficult to fine tune so that's why I want to know the proper skew on this!

have you tried to blind scan? That is how I knew my 421 was off by 90 degrees by getting the H side on V and vise versa

open the cover and look at the probes inside. when parked at true south one has to be paralell to ground and the other one vertical. that is 0 skew for true south. if you selected them wrong then the TP's will scan in reversed (H as V and viceversa) but at least at maximum signal. you can then rotate them 90 degrees like Iceberg said.

yeah, tried to do that but was getting H where V was supposed to be, so I rotated the thing (but I guess more than 90 degrees) and then I lost all signal, but will try again tomorrow with yours and HD fans suggestion

I give up on bandstacked LNBFs, in my experience their performance is sub-par, I went ahead and replaced this DMX241 with an ancient Chaparral feedhorn and LNB (just like the one on my 10ft) and Im getting a stronger signal (about 15-20% better) now I need to get a servomotor :( cause all I get right now is V polarity.

2 dms c/ku lnbfs and this DMX241 later I've learned the lesson, no more C Band bandstacked LNBFs for me

Neither the C/Ku nor the DMX-241 LNBFs are bandstacked... The only bandstacked C-Band LNBF out there that I know of at the moment is this one made by Eagle Aspen. I use it on my 6-footer with very good results...

well then Im done with those models I mentioned before, I tried a million ways and do not get acceptable results, at least not as good as with the chaparral feedhorn and LNB
