Single LNB multiple receivers?

Is there a way to have a single LNB but multiple receivers? I understand that only one receiver at a time can access the system but is it possible to get such a setup using a switch?

heck, you can have more than one receiver on at a time even with a single

items needed
-high frequency splitters (up to 2GHZ, not the 900MHZ crap)
-DC block
-cable

hook the high frequency splitter to the LNB output (they make 2 & 4 outputs)
Sopme splitters ahve a "power pass" on one side. If it does, then the DC block is not needed. If its "all power pass", then the DC block is needed

Hook everything up. The receiver that doesnt get the DC block is the main one. It will work great for G10 or T5, that MOSTLY use one polarity. The main controls the polarity. I ran my Pansat and Viacast off one single LNB for a while doing this

Doesn't that limit you???

I've heard that with only a single LNB that you can only watch the same channel on each receiver. Shouldn't you be able to watch those channels on the polarity it's currently on though? For instance if one receiver changes the LNB (if it's a circular LNB for DBS) to say left polarity, then you would be able to see those channels that are on that one polarity?

I had 2 receivers off G10 with a single LNB. Both could watch Vertical polarities (which is almost al of them)
So one could be on WBIF and the other could be on The Tube

Excellent - now can either receiver move the dish or just the primary one?

That I do not know

I had the Pansat (which could be motorized) and the Viacast (which couldn't) hooked up.

I think (now I am just going out on a limb...hope it dont break) that the primary would move the motor anytime, but the other would only move it if the main is off.

Ok - got a 2150 MHz splitter - all the outs state D.C. Pass, so I need s DC block however I am not able to find any
