i would like to view dvr recordings on my home theater and pc simultaneously. in different rooms of course. is there a way?
thank you

What model dvr?

If your pc has an coax input, you can hook up the tv coax on the 622/722(tv2 coax output), or 625(tv1 or tv2 coax output) to watch them on your pc.

If TV2 output is being used, you can use a simple splitter and split your TV2 output to your pc.(pc has to have a tv tuner for this that you can get chan 60 or 73, or whatever channel you watch TV2 on.

Or....if your pc has S-video and RCA inputs, you'll have to find some really long cables!

thanks for the reply,
vip 622
laptop has an svideo jack but no coax.
what about sound?
i use a 6.1 receiver in the main room.

I'm pretty sure the s-video jack on the laptop is output only and won't work to try and pipe in a signal to view. You would need a video capture card/device to watch the 622 video.

i know dish offers a hookup to an external drive for a fee.
could that work?
