Hi,

I'm about to complete my FTA system (already got the WS9036 and SG9120) and I was wondering if I really need a QPH-031 for FTA programming. Are there any circular polarization FTA signals out there?. If not I'm just going to buy a dual Linear LNB (dual tuner receiver here). Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Nasa on 119 was just recently scrambled.
The QPH is not necessary, but if you have it, might as well use it.
If you have an HD receiver with Blind Scan, I'd install it.

Jivv,

There are very few circular signals that can be viewed. Most are encrypted. Depending upon the FTA receiver, you can at least monitor the TP carriers and this is often helpful in aligning the dish as the circular signals can be more easily detected. However, this is not a necessity - it is more of a luxury that you would have to pay for.

A Universal linear LNBF would be nice as you would be able to receive both the upper and the lower Ku band linear signals. A dual output Universal linear LNBF would be my desire.
