i have a toshiba 52HM94....with integrated HD tuner. I cant seem to get a clear HD picture from connecting directly to my television. Can i hook this up thru my dishnet 942 receiver for better signal? any ideas? do i need an amp?

zip code is 77019.

thanks

There's no reason why you'd get a better signal via the 942, but you probably want to do that anyway, to record OTA-HD.

What do you mean by "not clear". With digital, usually there's a picture or there isn't.

the picture doesnt seem to be HD.

Are you selecting the right video input on your TV. I have 7 video sources on mine, but only 3 are HD. Do you get HD from your 942?

yes...i get the hd package thru the 942. my receiver is connected thru the HDMI input on my tv. i have a few cable outputs on my tv... a ANT1 and ANT2. both seem to get the same picture. how do i hook up my antenna thru my 942?

There's an antenna input (RF connector) on the back of the 942. Use that port, then "Scan for Local Digital", and you should be set.
