Was wondering what was considered a good signal strength. i've been averaging in the high 30's. This is on both a 522 and a 301. I'm not sure but i believe i used to get in the 60's.
I know since they reduced the signal strength level and you wanted to compare to the old numbers one added about a count of 30 to your number and you had about what one got in the past. If that is so i'm not getting very good numbers. For in the past with the old signal meter i'd get over 100.
I have trees that are in the line of sight but in the past my dish was moved to the highest point of my peaked roof. Along with that I had installed a longer mast helping to increase my chances of over shooting the trees. Also the trees haven't blossomed yet. I've wondered if my dish is out of alignment. For it seems every year or so it needs adjustment. Plus of course every year the trees grow.
Perhaps I shouldn't worry about it for i've not lost signal except for seconds and that occurred during a rain. I don't know how hard it was raining when that occured for I was watching this during a playback some two weeks after the event.
Think I should ask them to come out and check the dish alignment? Any suggestions comments appreciated.
