It is interesting to see the range of signal strengths that people post. There must be a lot of variation from box to box as to what is watchable. For instance, Iceberg's Pansat is watchable at a signal of 30. My Coolsat 6000 threshhold is about 65. Anything less than that is all blocks or nothing at all. On the other hand, my Motorola 920, when receiving a 4DTV signal, has a threshold of about 15 but will often go up to 99. On analog it will go up to 90 but anything at 68 or higher is good, but strangely enough, I've had some signals in the 80's that had sparklies and some at 68 that were perfect. It seems to me that we could have a hard time comparing what we are getting because there is so much box variation as to what defines "good reception". I must complement Iceberg for giving the threshold with his signal reports as that helps make sense of it. What do you guys think?
