Hi all, I'm pretty new to HDTV. I got my new dish installed about a month ago and have had no problems until I recently noticed something while looking at my signal strengths and I have a couple of questions.
When I do a signal strength test I notice that on tuner 1 the readings on 99c and 103c are low, usually in the 30's and 40's. But when I check those readings on tuner 2 they are all in the 70's and 80's. My question is, why is there such a big difference in the readings when I only have one dish? Shouldn't the readings be close to each other? Also, if the readings on tuner 2 are high enough, is it critical to have the readings on tuner 1 that high also? I think it comes into play when recording one channel while watching another. Is that correct? Is this something that an alignment can fix? My readings on all of the other satellites are good, mostly in the 90's. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Michael
