side by side PIP 622

I read on this board awhile ago that Dish would be adding side by side PIP with the next 622 software release. Does anyone know when we can expect that release?

Nope, Promised for december. Can't wait. They haven't updated the software on my hd dvr for months. Waiting for cure of audio breakups also.

Feb! Son of a bitch...I want it now! Which probably means it'll happen in, oh, about 6 months.

It was mentioned on the last 'tech chat' and a December timeframe was definitely given, but that's come and gone obviously. One of the guys over at dbstalk said it got pushed back and then with the Christmas break, a lot of people were on vacation and releases would wait 'til they all got back and settled. Others speculated they'd release this for the CES show, but something like this is hardly newsworthy enough for an event like that.

Funny that they added side by side to the 522 first. You would have thought that the 622 and 625 would've gotten it first.

BTW It looks terrible in 4:3 on the 522.

Actually, it IS on the 625 as well as the 522. Wasn't aware of that fact until today when I was demo'ing an install to a new customer.
