i've had Hd for 2 weeks now and only on showtime i am getting a snowy pic.i tried diferent recievers,cables and tv's with no luck.is anyone else having this problem with sho HD?

Out of all the HD channels directv offers, I'll agree with you that Showtime is the least sharp. Many others call it HD Lite. But is shouldnt be really snowy. I believe Showtime's PQ will improve when football is over.

i just came back from my friends house a couple of blocks away and he is getting the same snowy pic.is there anyone in the boston area with this problem?i spoke to DTV and there saying it may be this area

SAtellite PQ does not depend on area.

It is same PQ all over the USA

But as zubinh said that it will get better when football season is over.

i have the same problem i am using monster cable dvdi i am getting snowy picture to. u can tell when u change the channel.

Showtime is the worst, I get sparkles and crappy PQ

because directv compresses the hd signal and we notice it with our naked eyes,
