Shouldn't I see HD channels in second receiver?

Have vip622 tuner in single mode, with one cable split into the 2 tuners on the back. Recently I added a 525 receiver upstairs for the inlaws. That receiver got its own cable feed to it, and it is running in single mode.

I should be able to see the HD channels on the 525, right?

No, the 522/625 does not support HD

Prior to adding this receiver, I had the 622 in dual mode feeding TV#2 with coax. So the HD transmission to it was by virtue of the receiver outputting HD to the TV2 coax connector, right?

In summary, I do not see HD on the 525 cause it cant handle it.

Both the 622 and the 722 support a second TV connection either by "composite" or "coax" connection. However the HD content is downconverted to 480i (standard definition analog TV).

The 525 doesn't have any way to decode HD content, let alone down convert it.

So your summary is right. You don't see HD on the 525 because it can't handle it.
