Should I be worried?

Saturday, my 722 died and I called and arranged to have a replacement unit sent to me. The replacement 722 arrived late yesterday afternoon, and I opened the box and checked to make everything was there. Being late in the day, I decided to wait until today to install and activate the unit.

Today, I was placing the 722 on the entertainment unit, and was using a flashlight to shine on the back to see the connections better. When the light hit the top of the 722, I could see a visible dent in the top of the 722. It looked like possibly another unit had been dropped on it and hit on a corner. It's not a deep dent, and the box was activated, and seems to be working fine.

My question is, when this unit is eventually returned, are they going to say I damaged it? There was no damage to the delivery box, so I think this unit had to have left DISH in this condition. I would like some way of noting this in my account so I don't get blamed for this in the future. Any suggestions as to what I should do would be welcomed.

I would send a PM to one of the DIRT team members and have him or her note it on your account. Give him or her the account number and receiver/smart card numbers. Whether or not this will help you in the future is somewhat questionable, but at least you've done all you can do, short of asking for an immediate replacement. Best of luck.....

Since the damage is cosmetic and obviously quite minor, I wouldn't lose sleep over it even if you did ding it.

Thanks Brad! I did as you suggested.

Thanks for your reply. I won't lose sleep over it, but it bothers me more that I didn't do it and than it would if I had actually done it!!
