Shadowing Problem - Rear Proj LCD

I'm getting some shadow images with my 50" Hitachi Ultravision rear projection LCD. The programming and the guide both have a faint shadow that appears about 1/4 inch to the left of the main image. It's mostly noticeable when a dark image is next to a lighter image. Has anyone had this problem or know what maybe causing it?

I have the same set. I have not had this problem. Do you have other equipment hooked to the set. Does it do it from a DVD or Cable signal as well as the Dish reciever? First step of troubleshooting is isolate problem. In your case tv or receiver, etc. It could be either. Also try different inputs on the TV.

My model of Toshiba has this issue, although it hasn't appeared on my set yet (56HM66). It is reported to be a warpage problem in the light engine housing.

I would check the Hitachi site for any service bulletins, and also AVS forums for a thread on this model.

Unfortunately, I have the problem with DVD and TV and different inputs.
