hi guys,i need a little help on getting my SG9120B set up on the arc, what i mean is you know how instructions are when they come with a product, about as useless as the paper it is printed on.I have a 3 foot dish it is being mounted on and my stb is a orasat 5.0 with (DISEqC 1.2) with motor/goto 0 i would not have any trouble mounting it,i want to know a few tricks on getting it align on the arc. Also would i have to manually align every satellite that i program into my stb by hand or would it do it automatically...need your help guys...thanks for this forum..you have never let me down yet.:up

I'm not familiar with your receiver, but did install a new sg9120b a few weeks ago.

I ended up using a circular LNB and found the Dish, Nimiqs and other circular sats from 61° to 119°, then switched to a linear LNB and fine tuned the arc in. You can slowly move the circular LNB around in front of the dish to catch signal - make sure you have an active TP selected - then zero in the dish for maximum signal.

The declination instructions in the "manual" - the one that came with mine isn't much bigger than a business card - are off by 10°, they should be 30° minus the declination angle for your latitude.

So far the motor works great. Hopefully it does better than the sg2100 did when winter sets in.
