AFAIK, a tech would swap the lnb first, then replace the dish. I don't know of a test that they use. texasbrit? Hotat2?Is there a way to check to make sure which one it may be?
are you using the dithering technique to find the center of the 101 beam?
Regardless of which satellite he is pointing to, he should be able to get higher than 75 for a signal strength. Is it possible that he's looking at the wrong Sat ? 119? maybe.
Not sure about that, if he happens to be looking at the 119 and trying to see the 101 he wouldn't get the numbers desired.Regardless of which satellite he is pointing to, he should be able to get higher than 75 for a signal strength.
As far as signal strength? Why not?Not sure about that, if he happens to be looking at the 119 and trying to see the 101 he wouldn't get the numbers desired.
You need to forget about 99/103 for the moment. Pick one of the 101 TPs that is low (but not a spotbeam), say TP15. Dither on that TP only. If you can't get it into the 90s. then I would say you have a bad dish (or receiver, but less likely)
If your trying to point at the 101 and you actually have the 119, you'll never get the 101 numbers where you need them.As far as signal strength? Why not?

Are you adjusting all three axis? Here is what I get right now ....
I'm thinking a bent dish then. They can look good but actually be bent.
