Setting record quality on 722

I thought I ran across a menu for setting the recording quality level on the 722 DVR but can't find it now. Anyone know the menu for this?

There is no menu like that. The Dish DVR's just record the source they don't convert it in any way (like TIVO does).
 
Or are you talking about SD vs HD? That option is available when setting a DishPass timer.
 
Thanks, that must have been the menu I saw. Still getting used to the 722 after using Tivo for the past few years.

yes, there's no re-encoding at all. The pure digital signal as originally received is what gets recorded, so playback quality is identical to live.

Nope. No such thing. You may have seen something else. On Dish DVRs the shows are copied to the hard drive exactly as they are received. No re-compression takes place like what happens with Tivo.
