They changed their modulation. Rescan transponder 4180, and you'll get them back.Hi Folks,
This is Eugene in SEATAC.
Hey, I noticed yesterday and today.....
First I thought there's problem with my BUD 1
with the GEOSAT Pro receiver......
Nope, it seems like where is SES1 Satellite???
Yesterday I was about to tune in on H & I Channel
to watch STAR TREK.
None of them are on SES1 satellite!!!!
And MeTV East channel !!!
I looked up on LyngSat for SES1 satellite and
the two other channels.
Look like LyngSat haven't update their site????
Because it shows both channels on SES1
And they're aren't as I'm seeing......
What's new????
Where are H & I channel and MeTV on C-band???
IF it moved, someone should inform LyngSat.
Thanks,
Eugene

I'm 250 miles east of Eugene. I get nothing on 4180 H doing a blind scan or transponder scan. They changed their modulation. Rescan transponder 4180, and you'll get them back.
4180 H DVB-S2

It's now DVB-S2 8psk. You need a lot more signal than before when it was QPSK. How big is your dish? I only have a 7.5ft SAMI and am getting 11.5dB, but am in mid-Michigan and the beam is close to me. You need a minimum of 9.5dB to receive it now.I'm 250 miles east of Eugene. I get nothing on 4180 H doing a blind scan or transponder scan.
You should be able to receive it with a 10ft dish. Perhaps you need to go over the dish again very carefully, check all settings, and re-tweak it all over if needed.Hi and glad to see Norman81 !! He's still alive!!!!
YES, ME TOO!! On my GEOSAT PRO HDVR350O receiver
show FAILED on 4180!!!!
And the receiver is DVBS-2 also.
And my BUD 1 is 10 foot KTI mash dish antenna.
Why didn't they just leave it alone????
MeTV and H&I channels were JUST FINE
before they screwed up the transponders!!!!
They were JUST FINE since a year or so.
When I heard that they weren't on the bird,
I rescan it and there they were!! I got them.
That was last year.
NOW this year, yesterday, I don't see 4180!!!
All it says "4180 failed".
I tried blind scan several times. NOTHING!!
They were JUST FINE before.
And now they messed it up for us
NOT to receive it!!!!
I'm gonna try rescan again later today or tonight.
And IF it still doesn't come through, I'll show you
the screenshots from my GEOSAT PRO HDVR3500 receiver.
Maybe I should try using the GTMedia V8X receiver and
see IF that would make any difference???
In the meantime, I'll be back.
Eugene
I have a 10 foot Winegard dish. I receive Daystar on 101 at 12.2 db.You should be able to receive it with a 10ft dish. Perhaps you need to go over the dish again very carefully, check all settings, and re-tweak it all over if needed.
Daystar is DVB-S QPSK, which is what the Weigel Mux used to be. If that only comes in at 12.2 dB, you probably won't be able to receive DVB-S2 8PSK at all. IF you can re-tweak your dish to crank up the 12.2dB signal on Daystar by an additional 2dB or more, that might be enough to lock 4180 also.I have a 10 foot Winegard dish. I will do some tweaking today and report back.Daystar is DVB-S QPSK, which is what the Weigel Mux used to be. 12.3 db is the max for me on Daystar.I will do some tweaking today and report back.
