SES-1

The Viacom, NBCU, Hallmark and legacy Scripps/Discovery channels originate from that satellite, so if there were an outage, it would have been heavily reported across industry sites.

I've lost the whole Me-Heroes-Movies etc MUX. The only thing coming in for me is Daystar,

At Rick's forum there is a post saying the mux has changed from QPSK to 8PSK 5/6.

I've rescanned and tweaked the aim, but no luck getting anything else.
........................................
Edit: I rescanned again and now the 4020 mux is coming in strong, not that it does me any good since it is encrypted, Still no 4180 mux :-(

I just checked again and the 4180 mux is coming in strong and clear here in PA. I'm using an Edision Mio 4K Plus, 10' SAMI mesh dish and an older Titanium C2-PLL lnbf (non 5G filtering).

Time for a larger dish? My 4-foot dish scans in Daystar this morning so it's a strong tp with low C/N lock value. But, as expected, nothing else on 101W scans in.

The 4180 mux went from DVBS to DVBS2. It required a re-scan on my part to get the mux back in. I noticed it on Ricks site too.
That's really odd. I haven't lost anything on 4180, have NOT rescanned, but mine say they are 8PSK. It's been so long since I last scanned them in, I can only imagine they've been 8PSK for a long time.

Well, wait a minute: I DID rescan back when Ricks said something about the new Metv PT and MT channels appeared. How long ago was that? A couple months? Can't remember

Rescan it again--two separate updates in last week...you will find even more, including Eastern and Pacific feeds for DABL as well as Me Toons (promos until Tuesday June 25). Signal quality seems to be even stronger with new FEC setup.

Ok, I rescanned 4180 and picked up the new feeds. However, they still show as 5/6 FEC for me, and there's no change in signal strength over the original ones. Using a Edision Mio 4k receiver.

DVB-S2 8PSK 4180H 30000 5/6

Coming in at 11.8db, 82% SNR I have an 8ft SAMI dish.

Happy for the new feeds though, so thanks!

Hi Folks,

This is Eugene in SEATAC.

Hey, I noticed yesterday and today.....
First I thought there's problem with my BUD 1
with the GEOSAT Pro receiver......

Nope, it seems like where is SES1 Satellite???

Yesterday I was about to tune in on H & I Channel
to watch STAR TREK.

None of them are on SES1 satellite!!!!

And MeTV East channel !!!

I looked up on LyngSat for SES1 satellite and
the two other channels.

Look like LyngSat haven't update their site????
Because it shows both channels on SES1
And they're aren't as I'm seeing......

What's new????

Where are H & I channel and MeTV on C-band???

IF it moved, someone should inform LyngSat.

Thanks,
Eugene

They changed their modulation. Rescan transponder 4180, and you'll get them back.

4180 H
DVB-S2
8PSK
30000-5/6

I'm 250 miles east of Eugene. I get nothing on 4180 H doing a blind scan or transponder scan.
It's now DVB-S2 8psk. You need a lot more signal than before when it was QPSK. How big is your dish? I only have a 7.5ft SAMI and am getting 11.5dB, but am in mid-Michigan and the beam is close to me. You need a minimum of 9.5dB to receive it now.

I'm still getting them but I did rescan to pick up the MeTV cartoon feeds.

Hi and glad to see Norman81 !! He's still alive!!!!

YES, ME TOO!! On my GEOSAT PRO HDVR350O receiver
show FAILED on 4180!!!!
And the receiver is DVBS-2 also.
And my BUD 1 is 10 foot KTI mash dish antenna.
Why didn't they just leave it alone????
MeTV and H&I channels were JUST FINE
before they screwed up the transponders!!!!

They were JUST FINE since a year or so.
When I heard that they weren't on the bird,
I rescan it and there they were!! I got them.
That was last year.

NOW this year, yesterday, I don't see 4180!!!
All it says "4180 failed".

I tried blind scan several times. NOTHING!!

They were JUST FINE before.
And now they messed it up for us
NOT to receive it!!!!

I'm gonna try rescan again later today or tonight.
And IF it still doesn't come through, I'll show you
the screenshots from my GEOSAT PRO HDVR3500 receiver.

Maybe I should try using the GTMedia V8X receiver and
see IF that would make any difference???

In the meantime, I'll be back.

Eugene

You should be able to receive it with a 10ft dish. Perhaps you need to go over the dish again very carefully, check all settings, and re-tweak it all over if needed.

I have a 10 foot Winegard dish. I receive Daystar on 101 at 12.2 db.
Daystar is DVB-S QPSK, which is what the Weigel Mux used to be. If that only comes in at 12.2 dB, you probably won't be able to receive DVB-S2 8PSK at all. IF you can re-tweak your dish to crank up the 12.2dB signal on Daystar by an additional 2dB or more, that might be enough to lock 4180 also.
