Anyone getting a bunch of "Locked Event" while trying to watch programs on their DVR?
Weird.
Yes. Might need a Check Switch as well.
It's funny how DISH automatically puts stuff on your DVR. Stuff like "September Movie Highlights!".
I doubt Charlie would NOT allow me to come over to his billion dollar mansion and let me put my favorite TV shows on his DVR.
Oh DISH
Yea, tried the webite listed, me thinks they are a little crowded, won't loadIf SD channels are not visible in your Program Guide go to www.dish.com/outage for instructions.

How are they able to control/configure the satellite, if it's 22,000 miles up, especially when something serious happens, like for example it gets turned, not pointing at the earth anymore?
Good point...No need for a check switch though since they removed the mappings to 129.

You would be surprised at how many people from DISH Network come here first to find out whats going on... (I wish I was making that up)
Good point...
Are you sure that you're in the right thread?

Getting further updates...
I am hearing some good news including that they are now going through some procedural checklists checking out the new satellite before putting the new satellite back in production.
If you here on the East Coast I feel very safe in saying when you wake up tomorrow you will have you HD back...
Geesh Bob you work in this industry.. Redundant uplinks have nothing to do when there is an issue with the satellite itself, which is the issue we have here.I thought that they had redundant uplinks to prevent this! Im surprised that dish doesnt have a redundant 10 gig fiber loop to route between uplink centers for satellite controlling data and pushing around video.
Well if your in the west, go out and see a movie and when you come home hopefully its on in time for Leno or Letterman. And in the West?
He's in the right thread......he just is watching his DVR and noticed the spam that he has not noticed before.
He is waiting in this thread like all of us to see when the thing is fixed!
Thanks for the info, I'm kind of a space nerd. So it's all just remote commands? If that does happen the satellite is supposed to go into autopilot and reorient itself to the earth. If of course the computer on the satellite is still functioning.
