I thought it was just me, but then I refreshed another site...
SatGuys Forum said:
Page generated in 33.35330 seconds with 19 queries...
...Page generated in 20.58590 seconds with 16 queries
Those numbers are usually just a fraction of a second.

Also, TheList is broken. Is Qwert just updating it or . . . ?

Thanks.
Not really concerned.
Just wanted to post so others wouldn't think the sky was falling.

What page were you trying to access when that happened?

I have been using it al night and its been zipping along.

Page generated in 0.36935 seconds with 21 queries

Every page, FTA department, my PMs, this page, etc.
But, I did notice right after posting, times returned to about 0.4 seconds.
eg: "Page generated in 0.34493 seconds with 20 queries"

Had been intermittently sluggish for an hour or two.
Thought it was something on my end
- torrenting
- flakey cat5 cable
- my ISP or router
And was actually looking into the problem when I realized it was SatGuys instead. :)

Oh, and TheList is still stuffed.

Just click on: TheList - and you'll get the above error.

Yep, agreed.
Thanks.
We'lll kick old Qwert for a while. ;)

I think he was probably planning some new things, and maybe he's in the middle of an update.

me too

Some forum questions just plain won't load, I can click on Icebergs post in the FTA section about powervu receivers and nothing happens. Noticed that several times yest too, just random pages or forum questions. I thought it was a net error, but internettrafficreport.com was only showing 2 routers down in the US at that time. I'm gonna look again, maybe it's on my end (but no problem with any other sites I've tried this morning)
Scott has us spoiled , this site works so well normally, lol.

Same problem a few minutes ago. Could not connect at all.

I am working on the server. The folks at vBulletin suggest that we recompile Apache with MySQLi support. They think that moving to this will eliminate some of the Sql issues we have been seeing over the past few weeks.

I am recompiling now. Keep you fingers crossed. :)

something weird is happening. the layouts look completely different. what's happening?

i'm getting these error messages on this site:

I think in addition to the above, that I do have an intermittent CAT5 cable...
Replacing it is not as straight forward as one might hope.
So, I'll extra paranoid about making complaints . -

as always

Great job Scott!!!! working better, for me anyway. I'd hate to try recompiling anything-it's been 3yrs or more lol.

Were getting better. :)

Actually I am done goofing with the server, it seems to be good now.

I am working on the Homepage, the past few days I notice it has been taking anywhere from 2 seconds to 8 seconds to generate which to me is bad. It should be less then a second. :)

What I needed to do was blow out the homepage portal entirely and install it from scratch. I had a lot of stuff hand coded in there which I needed to recreate because I forgot to backup the styles before blowing the portal software out (doh)

I am happy to say that with it almost done (just some cosmetics now) that the page has gone from loading in 3 seconds down to 0.14202 seconds. :) Thats quite a nice difference.

When logging on I just had .06449 which is about average here with 16 queries. I have seen it no higher than .1 something and as low as .05 something. What the heck are queries? Been meaning to ask that.
