Sept 13th Uplink Report...

It may have gotten past most of us, but Harrisonburg VA locals (both of them) are now uplinked to channel 8343 and 8344!

The ABC affiliate is in such a place that it may be easily added as an SV to Charlottesville and the PBS affiliate easily added to Washington DC.

This makes 5 TV markets uplinked and waiting in the wings Rochester, MN; Palm Springs, CA; Odessa/Midland, TX; Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX; Harrisonburg, VA

See ya
Tony

The PBS affiliate is already in the Washington DC market. 8344 looks like it's just a mirror of 8082 (notice it's the same spotbeam and TP).

Exactly. :)

The software is not perfect yet, but its getting close. :)

I would love to see your setup sometime and also would love to know when you sleep. I see you posting 24/7 to the backhaul list and your posting all over at all hours of the day, even at 4am.

Are thre really two of you? :)

The computer happens to be on the way to the bathroom. Push the go button and check for results on the return.

Backhaul activity mostly in the evening and sunday afternoon. Not as active on that as I was.

Only 26 or so satellite receivers connected to about 13 dishes through 10 multiswitches and about 15 A/B or A/B/C switches. Not to mention 25 channel modulators. Conservative estimate of 200 "F" connectors and cable conglomerations which cannot be seen through. It's a mess. More to do. :D

Nice setup JohnH!

Wonder why I come up with different reports, Scott?

Hi Everybody,

Please forgive me if it is a silly question...
I see new channels moving to satellite 148... When does it appear in the guide ?
Does Available means it is available in the program guide ?

Thanks

They are hidden except to those which have a subscription to the Channel(s).

Transponders, Encoders, Codecs?

Why phone connection is required for VIP and/or dual-turner receiver?
