They missed one point. Toshiba of course took a big hit, but it is the third partner in the mentioned IBM and SONY Cell processor business, and now have the manufacturing plant.

Doesn't IBM also produce the cell itself? I thought there was some competition on which plant would reduce to 65nm first, or some such.

Perhaps, I didn't notice. But as mentioned elsewhere, Sony sold its interest in at least one such plant to Toshiba.
