Self installed an 811 today

i'm reading that a lot of people don't have to send in their current receiver. i don't need it as an addon, i just want to replace my old receiver.

i'm going to call them to see what kind of response i get. perhaps it's possible to persuade them to just send you the unit for $149? I WON'T GIVE UP! :twisted:

They want let you do a self install

That reads like "They want (to) let you do a self install."
I'm sure you meant "They won't let you do a self-install.".

Just give the guy 20 bucks and tell him to go have a nice long lunch on you.
