second tv question

I currently have a 311 in our bedroom which we need to replace with an HD receiver. We currently have our kitchen tv cloned to this receiver, so what ever is on the bedroom tv is also in the kitchen. The way it's wired is that it has a 2 way splitter connecting to the one coax jack on the wall. I assume it combines the in and out signals from the 311. If I get a 211, I assume I can use it as it is now, with the kitchen getting the cloned signal. If I get a 222, can I use the same cabling I have now and use the second tuner to control the kitchen tv?

Yes and Yes, but get a 222 or a 722 and stop cloning...it's immoral.
