Second HWS vs. SJ

I'm a relatively new Dish customer. I currently have 1 HWS and 2 Joeys. I'm finding that I need more tuners for my family of 4. I've been trying to decide between waiting for the SJ to come out and getting a second HWS. I know the SJ is integrated into the HWS and I really like that idea, but the extra tuner of a second HWS would be nice.

My question is whether or not I can schedule timers while on one HWS to happen on the other HWS. If not can I use DishAnywhere to schedule recordings on both HWS or does it only connect to one of them?

Dish anywhere gives you the choice of Hoppers to set the timers on. Timers are not able to be set across boxes like you are asking. However I believe there may be some new conflict resolution added into the receivers where timers will be pushed to the second hopper as long as tuners are available in the case of a conflict on hopper 1.

As long as I can select which Hopper on DishAnywhere I can make that work. It also gives me the option to add more storage to the second HWS. I like the idea of pushing conflicts over so I hope that comes someday. It would be even better if they integrated the second HWS like they're going to do with the SJ, but that's just dreaming.
