just read a tweet from bruce feldman. he had dinner with other college football writers and thinks the dtv announcement might come wednesday when pac 12 media days begins.
just read a tweet from bruce feldman. he expects directv deal to be announced during pac 12 media days, which begins wednesday.
which, no doubt, is why they would do it then.It is funny to announce then, because PAC12 network aint coming...
Give me that ... and 5-10 other channels and I'm good. That would be another one. Personally, I could get by with the ESPN channels, the SEC Network, and the OTA channels and have nothing else. Thats the bulk of my personal tv viewing.
Don't you PAY for TIVO ?It will, I am just saying I could drop Directv and still get WatchESPN (access that is based on having a video provider) without having a video provider
ESPN and the premium original series is all I really have Directv for now, I can get all the other shows elsewhere. I could use Amazon VOD for stuff like Sons of Anarchy on the Tivo, use the OTA, and spend about the same I spend now with better quality. When my rebates expire in Dec and fball ends, I will be looking heavily into dropping "pay tv"...
watch espn is suppose to be coming in sec network deal.According to the news Comcast had signed 10 year contract with Disney and Espn in 2012. so Direc can get a contract for the sec channel and watch ESPN if they want to.
i have watch espn via bright house. time warner does all of their negotiating so i don't understand why two wouldn't have watch espn.I assume that virtually all Directv customers would have access to watchESPN content since virtually all customers have ESPN. I assume that people who are Time Warner Cable Internet customers will be able to access it despite not having ESPN via TWC. Do commercial customers have access? Could the many bars with Directv stream local games airing only on ESPN3?

true, same with bright house. you have to have a cable package which includes espn. and you can't get watch espn, even if you have just internet with time warner.People at Time Warner information says you need ESPN through them to access it on their Internet. I assume that Directv having a deal will override Time Warner, I am trying to verify..
