Great deal, but I've heard Seagates overheat.
No more or less then other drives. I have 3 200GB Seagates and they run about the same temp as my WD drives. I prefer Seagate drives over Maxtor or WD anymore because of the 5 year warranty.

I have yet to have a Seagate fail compared to a couple of maxtors (one brand new) and a WD...Running Them in Replays...

In the last two years the company that I work for has had 22 Maxtor hard drives go bad and 26 Seagate Drives go bad. They were all fairly new computers still under mfg warranty. And they were all the same size hard drive.

Out of how many total drives? Are you sure that none of them were refurbs?

Man, in 5 years I have had or installed over 150 drives between me & friends (not counting work PCs) and have had a total of 5 failures. 3 Western Digital and 1 Maxtor and 1 Seagate.

With that fail rate posted above, I would seek a new supplier of PCs. Something isn't "kosher".
