I can't help but feel that some at D* feel some relief at the launcher loss. This gives them an excuse. There will likely be delays in these networks getting their HD versions up and running, even though they no doubt have been preparing behind the scenes for this for years. So there won't be 100 national HD channels available by year's end, and D* won't have their new birds up so quick, but won't be blamed for promising the moon.

Directv is now saying that it will launch HD channels by the end of the YEAR. That is not October. They also say we BELIEVE that it will not stop us from having 100 HD channels. I know it is early but better luck next year.
I wonder if Jappleboy really meant to post this as a Directv thread? Posting it here is kinda like starting a bar fight.
