Scott's Team Summit Blog

Who said anything about mentioning the site? Scott is a customer and could appear as such. Not like he's going to sit there and run off quotes about HD resolutions and such, he's going to teach us how to set a DVR event timer...or hook up a phone line...

I did ask that and they are still working out the details. From what I understand what they are looking at is making sure whoever goes and swaps it out is paid for their time and their gas.

I have no problem with that (considering the price of gas now) :)

Not that easy as they need to take back the old Dish 1000 to use it for someone else. There are areas where the Dish 1000 works fine and there is no need for a Dish 1000.2

I wonder if they plan on allowing one to view the archived events from the external hard drives on another DVR in the house through the power lines?

Excellent question. A broader one would be, what is their plan for whole-house networking? When will we be able to view anything stored on any DVR on any TV in our house, HD programming included? Will DishComm do this?

Scott, I have a question about hbo, sho, and starz on demand when will that be ready? And I live in Pittsburgh and CBS is and o&o station will I get this channel. When I have Dish Installed or do I have to tell them or am a not suppose to get it.

The on demand stuff is a ways off, I would be surprise if we get it by the end of the year.

If you want CBS HD you will need to tell them as you will need a Dish for 61.5

Scott, when they do get on demand through the internet do you know if they will have a wireless solution for those of us who cant run a wire to the reciver but have wireless 102. G/A avaible... Like the homezone reciver does :)

On external USB HD side, wondering if Dish could make it also be able to play on Pocket Dish since Pocket Dish can be used as host...... Especailly as Scott said there will be a new version of PocketDish on the horizon........ Although I am not holding my breth on that option, but sure will be nice.......'

(I know, I am dreaming again. That is what the quite office environement would do to me :-)

Scott, are the Pittsburgh HD locals coming out soon?
They are up now, however the Dish Plus Dishes are not available yet. They will be out soon in those areas where HD locals are available.

No unfortunately the limitation here is not the receiver but the PocketDish itself.
